Insurance and Enhanced Cover

You can request Enhanced Cover or Insurance to be added to portal bookings or freight quotations. 

Portal Enhanced Cover

This can be added after your get a quotation. The cost of enhanced cover will be dependent on the courier and value you are covering. 

Please see details of the terms and conditions of the cover offered on portal bookings.

All carriers offer standard liability as part of their terms and conditions, it is the Customer responsibility to ensure that any high value goods have been insured correctly.

Please note the following:

  1. Value for Portal Enhanced Cover should always be in GBP- it should match the value & currency on the commercial invoice. 
  2. Customer cannot use their own commercial invoice in a different currency as they have to declare the value when booked. The value on the label should also match the value on the commercial invoice.
  3. UPS, TNT ,FEDEX and DHL all offer enhanced cover. Palletways and Pallex does not, and Evri Corporate service and DHL Parcel can be dependant on account and service used.

Hermes/Evri

Hermes has no liability for missing or damaged shipments & cannot add additional insurance on items. Please do not send expensive goods with Hermes as we cannot compensate you for lost or damages.

Freight or Special Quotes

If insurance is needed for quotation, this should be specified on initial freight quote request. 

Note that this may incur additional charge.
