Quoted vs Invoice Price

There are various reasons on why shipment has incurred higher billed price. Customer may raise an invoice query ticket to customer service to initiate an investigation.

Below are the common reason why the invoiced price may be different to the quoted price.

  • Residential Address Charge - receiver or collection address is a business address. 
  • Weight / Dimension Discrepancy - weight of dimensions quotes is different to the carrier audited weight and dimensions. 
  • Nothing to Collect Charge - some carriers charge for failed collection 
  • Address Correction Charge - charge for correcting an address
  • Returned Item - charge for returning a shipment back to the collection address
  • Additional Handling Charge - large or heavy items may incur an additional handling charge 
  • Duty and Taxes - This is billed to the shipper on DDP bookings
In addition to the existing Additional Handling Surcharges, FedEx has introduced two new Additional Handling Surcharges for effectively moving non-standard shipments through our network.
  • FedEx Additional Handling Surcharge – Package Services 
    • Packaging - £34/shipment
    • Dimension - £40/shipment
  • FedEx Additional Handling Surcharge – Weight - £17/shipment
