Setting up users

Setting up users on the World Options portal was introduced to help Customers manage the following processes. 

  • Giving access to other Companies (UK and overseas) to make bookings on a Customer portal account. Importing from overseas by Ex-works is an example. 
  • Give access to other functional areas within a Company that manage specific processes (e.g Invoicing, bookings, quotes)

Users and Roles can be set up in the Portal which means you can set up a Role type and assign it to a User (internal or External). 

Step 1 : is to create a User role type by going to Manage > Preferences and then selecting the “Role” heading.

Step 2 : is to assign that role to a user by going to the “User” heading in Preferences

Once the user account is set up, the user will receive a temporary password to log in to the Customer Portal and the user will need to log in to the World Options portal ( https://portal.worldoptions.com/) using the user name and temporary password.

If the user does not receive an email from World Options, the user can click on the forgot password link and enter the email address and user name and they will get a new temporary password to log in.
